When you feed electricity from your solar power system back into the electrical grid, your energy provider credits your account at a higher rate per kilowatt than you usually purchase electricity. How does a Grid Connected solar power system work?

Power generated by sunlight falling onto the solar panels generates clean, renewable, DC electricity. The DC power is converted at the your newly installed inverter into 240V AC electricity, which is the same as the electrical grid. The AC power that has been generated by your system is then sent to the grid via a Gross Feed in Meter, which is credited to your account at a more generous rate than you buy it.
